Stow on the Wold is one of the most beautiful towns in the Cotswolds, with panoramic views it has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the UK. Stow has a vast and a fine selection of Hotels, Bed and breakfasts, and self catering. With lots to see in the area it would be well advised for you to book in at least a couple of days vacation to be able to soak in all the activities and sites in the area.

With a small drive you can suddenly be in the village of Lower Swell or point yourself in the other direction and you will end up the Bourton on the Water.

Tuesdays is a busy day just down the road when it is “market day” in Moreton on the Marsh, with a variety of stalls some of which have been there for many years. The veg stall has been there for years and could be a great way to stock up on fresh veg for your self catering holiday supplies. Although there is a Tescos in Stow which provides pretty much everything you will need.

In the Town of Stow there is a chemists and Co-op store if the larger supermarket is not quite your thing.

A small drive towards Chipping Norton and you can find yourself in the village of Bledington famed for its ducks.

Here in the village is the Kings Head Inn which provides accommodation and has a great restaurant to look after all your holiday needs.

Stow is really a hub of so many places in the Cotswolds, surrounded by so may quaint villages and towns, about 2 miles away is the village of Broadwell or just a few miles more and you will end up in Broadway.

You can point the car in another direction and drive to Bourton on the Water and visit Lower Slaughter on the way. You really only need to be driving for 10 to 15 minutes and there is another town and village to see.
