The Hawbridge Inn

This review takes us to a stunning, friendly and well known Inn on the banks of the river Severn.

The Hawbridge Inn is a centrally located pub near all 3 towns of Tewkesbury, Cheltenham or Gloucester. It is a perfect place for either getting away from the hustle and bustle of that busy days shopping in one these towns or just spending a planned relaxing day out.

When you arrive at the Hawbridge Inn you will be welcomed by friendly staff or by the owners Ian and Kelly. The Hawbridge Inn offers a great valued pub lunch and when the weather is good you can sit by the river with the glaze of the sun and the perfect tranquil setting watching the boats go past.

This Cotswold Inn compares highly too many of the Cheltenham Restaurants with a menu offering home cooked food and locally sourced produce. They also have an online menu for your viewing. The Hawbridge Inn is fast becoming well famed for it’s Sunday Carvery Menu.

Eating out with young children is no problem at the Hawbridge with their children’s play area which the Owners are very proud of. Perfect for a family day out.

The Hawbridge Inn also has a campsite at the back of the pub, with several pitches, electric hook ups, making it a perfect Cotswold camping site, to the side of the pub is a function room, which is used to extend the restaurant when busy or also is used for a skittles alley, parties and functions to.

For the more active day out you will find walking and cycling routes nearby, so planning a stop at the Hawbridge Inn is easy for maybe a pint and a bite to eat.

Inside this extremely popular Cotswolds Inn you will notice a seating area where many like to relax and sit by the log fire, a perfect spot for the cold winter months.

With well kept real ales and home cooked food like their unique sausage and mash menu, they really do cater for a perfect pub lunch.

The Hawbridge also has games evenings for anyone who likes to participate for example they have a Poker night once a month, quiz nights and free pool every Sunday afternoon.

More unusual activities can be seen at the Hawbridge every so often, for example they have raft racing annually, which is very popular amongst the locals.

The Hawbridge Inn was refurbished after the floods of 2007 and has kept the traditional feel of this very popular pub. So for a great value pub lunch or evening meal or to visit a relaxing Cotswolds campsite this is a highly recommended choice.
